FAQs
SeeThe information you provide us, through your participation in the study, will be used solely and exclusively for the purpose of carrying out the proposed research study.
The information collected during the study will be anonymized, as each participant will be assigned a code, so that no information that can identify you will be included. Access to personal information will be restricted to the person who manages the data. The Spanish health authorities and the Parc de Salut Mar Drug Research Ethics Committee, when required, may also have access to check the data, study procedures, and compliance with the rules of good clinical practice, but always maintaining the confidentiality of the data.
Your answers to the online questionnaires and to the daily brief questionnaires of the Assessment via smartphone (Ambulatory Assessment) will be collected by means of two computer tools, both supported with the appropriate security measures and data protection policies to protect your personal information:
- Qualtrics survey platform: this is the IT platform through which the online questionnaires will be administered at the middle of the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years. This platform complies with the security requirements demanded by the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union, and is endorsed by the following security certifications: FedRAMP, ISO 27001, HITRUST(CSF) and SOC 2 Type II. For more information, please visit the following link.
- ExpiWell: is the app platform through which the assessment via smartphone will be performed. The app does not have access to identifying data (e.g., personal names or phone numbers). All information collected from participants will be encrypted and identified with a random code. This information will be stored on a cloud server located in Ireland, complying with NEN 7510 certification, ISO/IEC 27001/27002 guidelines and Good Clinical Practice guidelines. Likewise, high-level security measures will be applied, in accordance with the provisions of the Organic Law on Data Protection.
The information collected in the study will be kept for at least 25 years after the end of the study.
Given the safety of the tests performed and the health promotion and prevention interventions implemented in the study, it is considered a minimal risk study for the participant.
